What is reinforcement steel and where is it used?

Reinforcement steel it is a steel bar or mesh of steel wires used as a tension device in reinforced concrete and reinforced masonry structures to strengthen and hold the concrete in compression.
Such structures are for example: buildings, houses, ferroconcrete items, beams, pillars and other concrete items.
Baltmet supplies the most demanded types and standards of reinforcement steel.
Our reinforcement steel is approved as per the following certificates: DIN-488, SFS1215, A500HW
SFS1268, B500B, LVS 191-1:2012, SS-ENV 10080 + SS212540
K500BT, K500CT, NS 3576-3, B500NC and can be certified to any other if demanded.
We stock more than 1000 tons of reinforcement steel at all times.

Reinforcement mesh

Baltmet offers reinforcement wire mesh ,class B500B, manufactured to the DIN 488 standard in all different sizes.
Reinforcement mesh or rebar mesh is used in all types of ferrocement structures.
Additionally any other certification of products can be done according to the EU law and customers needs.
We offer the following sizes of reinforcement mesh:
Wire diameter (mm) : 3,4,5,6,8,10,12 and larger on order.
Cell size (mm x mm) : 100×100, 150×150, 200×200
Mesh size (mm x mm) : 1000×3000, 2350×6000

Baltmet offers grooved/deformed reinforcement bar class A3 in steel grade B500B or A500HW (other grades available on order) and certified to DIN 488.
These bars are manufactured by controlled cold twisting of hot rolled bars. These bars have ribs or projection on their surface.
We offer sizes ranging from 6mm up to 40+mm.
Reinforcement bars are used in all types of ferrocement structures.
Additionally any other certification of products can be done according to the EU law and customers needs.
We stock the following sizes of A3 grooved/deformed reinforcement bar in both B500B and A500HW grades :
Diameter (mm) : 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 25, 28, 32, 36, 40 (larger diameter available on order)

Plain mild steel reinforcement bar
